Visit the museum foyer for an exciting new collaboration between ceramics artist Ekta Bagri and Cotswold Archaeology.
Cotswold Archaeology have recently excavated an exciting site near Haresfield - one of only three potteries recorded in the Domesday book - you can read more about it here
Ekta has taken inspiration from this story, collected clay from the area around the site, and now presents for the first time new pieces made with that material in a specially designed exhibit: Clay Paints Its Own Landscape. Ekta’s practice is all about pushing the boundaries of traditional ceramic art - you can find out more here
This display features original mediaeval pottery from the site, alongside Ekta’s new work to present an exciting new way of interpreting the past.
