During the height of the Coronavirus Pandemic people painted, coloured and otherwise created rainbow artworks to demonstrate hope, support for key workers, and to connect with the outside world during a period of lockdown. Following the end of the lockdowns, many of these artworks were donated to the museum and we are pleased to present a selection of them here. The pieces form a giant rainbow as you enter the art gallery where you can also see the ‘Same Sea, Different Boat’ exhibition of lockdown quilts.
