The Museum in the Park is a much loved community museum and is well known for its welcoming and warm reception. We are looking for volunteers who will help us to maintain this reputation. If you have an interest in local history and the role the Stroud District has played internationally and enjoy meeting people, then consider joining the museum team as a volunteer.
We are looking for a number of Volunteer Museum Stewards and Garden Stewards to help us provide a warm and welcome experience to our 50,000+ annual visitors, and to assist with the daily running of the Museum and Walled Garden. (NB. We are not currently recruiting volunteer gardeners as we are at full capacity.)
These roles will suit you if you are confident and friendly and would enjoy sharing information with museum visitors of different ages and abilities.
The Museum has been given an award by Stroud District Council for the skills provided through our volunteer and work experience programme. Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, maintain existing ones or even share them with us!
