Display: Recent Acquisitions

These two displays feature a selection of objects donated to the Museum over the last year.

Upstairs in The Space you will find objects which tell stories of a soldier, a teacher, a gardener, a craftsman, a dress maker and the players of Stroud Bowls Club.

On display in the Collectors’ Room you can see a cider jar by potter Peter Currell Brown with verses from the Gloucestershire folk song George Ridler’s Oven, together with a piece of Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s broad gauge track for the Great Western Railway and samples of locally-made Erinoid casein plastic.
