Discover more about the themes, ideas and techniques in the ‘UNmaking’ exhibition with this free, informal drop in session with one of the acclaimed exhibition artists Vivienne Beaumont.
Vivienne’s work uses symbolism, machine embroidery, and printmaking to explore life's ephemeral and cyclical nature while conveying emotions through archetypal imagery that draws on our shared cultural memory.
Drawing and design are central to her practice. She always starts with a drawing, which she often develops using Photoshop. She then transfers the design to fabric with printing methods, embracing the serendipity and creativity that comes from working with the cloth.
Drop in and meet the maker, ask questions, share ideas.
