Join special guests Andrew Fusek Peters and Sarah Gillespie who will be talking about their work. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet two gifted and generous artists, to hear about their methods and disciplines, and to share with them the fruits of their important work, work which not only depicts and captures these fragile insects but which celebrates them and argues for their protection and for the protection of their habitats.
ANDREW FUSEK PETERS returns to the Museum in the Park to talk about his new book Butterfly Safari which captures in a camera every species of British butterfly and he will share many of these images and the stories behind them. And we welcome SARAH GILLESPIE who will talk about her extraordinary mezzotints and especially about those which celebrate the dark and fragile beauty of the moth. Her book, 'Moth', includes reproductions of many of her mezzotints and a poem by Alice Oswald.
This special event is hosted by Yew Tree Press and takes place in the Walled Garden Pavilion. Admission free, donations much appreciated, books and drinks available to buy. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
