Are you a parent, grandparent or parent-to-be? The Women’s Art Activation System are inviting anyone connected to, or with experiences of, pregnancy and birth in the Stroud District to come together, share stories and make an object collectively about maternity in Stroud.
You are invited to make a piece of bunting that reflects in some way your story. The completed string of bunting will be housed in the Museum’s collection as a record of your stories. You will also be offered the chance to write down your story to go with the bunting.
This free session is to be held in Gallery 2 at the Museum in the Park.
Materials are provided - paper, cloth, sewing, paints and items for decoration.
You are also invited to bring along any objects relating to your stories that you would like to share with the group or even donate to the museum.
No previous creative experience is necessary and all levels of creativity are welcome!
Please note that you don’t need to commit to arriving at the beginning of the session nor are you required to attend the whole two hours. We would love to see you for as long or short a time as you would like to / can attend.

The collective bunting is following the model of Mother Bunting originally conceived by Sarah Dixon in 2017.
The Baby Makers: Making History is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund and the Museum in the Park.
