Awake! is a series of paintings exploring the overwhelming scale of the skies above us, and humanity’s endless search for answers.

Rays of light constantly change their story; offering us the sun’s warmth and protection contrasting with the awe-inspiring night sky and dappled starlight. Overpowered in scale, we are armed with the knowledge that the light we see has travelled through time for millions of years. Paul Fowler says, “Embedded in our souls is the persistent quest to make sense of our existence”.
