Talk with Angharad Jones

Creswell Crags on the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire border has numerous caves and rockshelters, many of which contain Ice Age archaeology and palaeontology. These can tell us a lot about past environments, and the animals and humans that used to occupy the area. Despite this abundance of evidence, we do need to look beyond Creswell Crags to get a fuller understanding of the Ice Age.
Angharad Jones is the Curator at Creswell Crags Museum and Heritage Centre. Her PhD research looked at Ice Age hyaenas across Europe, and her Masters dissertation focused on the mammal remains (including lots of tiny vole and lemming teeth) from a site in Creswell Crags.
