Local artist and ceramics tutor Emily Joy was part of an artist-residency in the Museum's walled garden when it was still a wild wasteland. Now, many years later, the transformed garden is well-established and a much-loved place for artists to visit and be inspired by. Now her students are planning a project inspired by this special place.
Join Emily and some of her students and enjoy some creative time out. This informal 'after hours' drawing session gives you the chance to come and draw in the beautiful garden as night falls and winter approaches. Seed heads, architectural details, trees, textures and more ... there is plenty to look at.
Suitable for adults and ages 16+, all abilities welcome.
Please wrap up warm, bring your sketchbook and outdoor art kit and a torch.
The Museum displays will also be open. Please note that only dry materials (ie pencil and paper) can be used when drawing inside the museum.
