Saturday 22 April until Sunday 11 June 2023

The Society of Wood Engravers’ Annual Exhibition features original prints stringently selected from an open submission. It tours several venues throughout the year showcasing the best contemporary work from the United Kingdom and overseas. We are delighted and honoured to be one of the 2023 venues and hope you enjoy visiting this prestigious exhibition.

This international collection showcases all forms of relief printmaking and is the Society’s 85th Annual Exhibition. The Society of Wood Engravers was founded in 1920 by a group of artists including Eric Gill and Lucien Pissarro. It is the principal organisation and rallying point for those interested in wood engraving and other forms of relief printmaking.

Catalogues are available to buy at £4.50 each (£3 for SWE and Museum in the Park Members).

There is a selection of browser prints available to buy direct from the gallery, and all prints in the exhibition can be ordered (unframed). Please ask at reception if you wish to purchase or order an engraving. Prices start from just £50.
