Carve a pumpkin lantern at home, bring it to the Museum and join our annual Autumn celebration, a family friendly Green Halloween event with Stroud Valleys Project.

Drop in between 2pm - 4.30pm to enjoy creative craft activities using natural materials, or our Halloween themed explorer trail.

Don your homemade or pre-loved costume and bring along your carved pumpkin lantern by 4.45pm to be part of the Lantern Trail and for a chance to win a prize. This year our guest judge will be Andy Hussey, local children’s author.

At 4.30pm, Andy will read one of his stories and will be available to sign books.

At 5pm we’ll be screening ‘Room on The Broom’, a short animated film based on the much-loved book.

The afternoon will end with a chance to view your carved lantern creations lit up outside the museum between 5.30pm - 6pm. Competition winners will be announced at 6pm.

A family friendly event for all ages. Free entry, cakes, snacks and drinks available to buy from the Museum’s mini foyer cafe.
