This friendly, informal group is led by Eleanor Holliday and is for any adults who feel they need a mid-week boost. Each week different seasonal and folk songs from across the UK and around the world are chosen for us to sing. Singing can help with breathing, posture, mental focus, memory and concentration, and singing together with others helps us find a sense of community and social connection, all important for our health and wellbeing. It can also be good fun!
All you need is a willingness to join in and commit to the series, and fairly good eyesight – as the song words are written up on a flipchart. If you’d like to book, or have any questions, please email museum@stroud.gov.uk or contact Abigail on 01453 763394.
Dates: 20 & 27 September, 4, 11 & 18 October (advance booking required)
Cost: £17.50 for the 5 week series
Times: 10.30am – 11.30am, followed by tea & coffee
