Spend an enjoyable and inspiring day in our beautiful walled garden with popular local artist Alison Vickery being shown how to keep a sketchbook record of your garden by drawing, painting and collage. Demonstration-led exercises and examples will help you to create an individual piece of work to take away and continue yourself.

Alison Vickery's floral paintings sell worldwide and she is also also an experienced tutor.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and improvers, as well as more experienced artists who'd like to treat themselves to some quality sketchbook time. Alison will supply a list of what to bring, but we can also arrange materials for you to borrow. We hope you'll be able to enjoy drawing and painting outdoors in the garden, but the glass-fronted Pavilion has glorious views of the beautiful borders and surrounding parkland should the weather turn to rain.
