Butterfly Flutterby: Family Drop in Outdoor Workshop with Artist Susie Walker

  • The Museum in the Park Stratford Park, Stratford Road Stroud, England, GL5 4AF United Kingdom (map)

Times: 10.30am – 12.30pm & 2pm – 4pm (drop in)

Artist Susie Walker will help you bring butterflies to life using vivid Brusho Inks and drawing with sticks you bring with you on the day or find in the park. Working outdoors you can celebrate the Big Butterfly Count by creating your own butterfly print, seeing how the colours flow into each other then taking your stick to draw with black ink adding detail to your butterfly.

Susie has been bringing creative opportunities to people around Gloucestershire for over 25 years. Susie brings a joy of creating, exploring and experimenting to her work with others of all ages and is a great believer in the way creativity brings a sense of wellbeing to our lives.

You can also take part in the Big Butterfly Count which takes place across the country from Friday 16 July – Sunday 8 August 2021. Pick up an ID count sheet, find a quite spot in the park and see what butterflies you can sight this year!

Workshops now in the Garden Pavilion due to wet weather. Limited space, so you may have to wait if it’s busy, but free Museum trails also available to enjoy.
