Growing Victorians - a talk by Bill Jones

“Victorians are notoriously difficult to grow from seed, so my advice is to buy small potted Victorians from the garden centre and grow them on.”

Come and listen to experienced gardener, Bill Jones, talk about growing Victorians in your garden in an hour of comedy packed with illustrated props, terrible puns and plenty of sage advice. The show covers all aspects of growing Victorians from planning your garden to the care and maintenance of tender varieties. There will also be plenty of opportunities for the audience to ask questions.

NB: May only contain fleeting references to snowdrops.

Bill Jones is a performer, writer and illustrator with a particular interest in Victorians. He is the author of a novel in puns, The Life and Times of Algernon Swift (“sheer relentless glee” Times Literary Supplement), has had cartoons published in Private Eye and has performed this show in venues as diverse as a garden shed and a Space museum.
