Thursday Afternoon Talk, Chas Townley: The Village Society at War

Cainscross and Ebley Cooperative Society was founded in 1863 and saw itself as the ‘village society'. By the start of WW1 it had branches at Stonehouse, King Stanley, Dursley, Wotton under Edge and Nailsworth as well as an extensive network of horse and cart home deliveries.

£5 each including tea, coffee and biscuits. Booking necessary.
