This talk will transport the audience from the sun baked plains of Victorian South African to the serene pastures of rural Churcham. All the while setting the scene of the now long forgotten tale of local lad Alfred Henry Hook, V.C. winner, and his epic exploits at Rorkes Drift (22 to 23 January 22, 1879). Tea and cake will be served after the talk.
