Impress '16 Printmaking Festival

Peter Blake 'Under Milkwood' with featured artists, including 'Contemporary Prints from Hunan'

March 2016 sees the welcome return of IMPRESS Printmaking Festival, showcasing some of the best in International printmaking at venues across Stroud and the Cotswolds. The Museum in the Park’s Gallery shows Peter Blake’s richly detailed ‘Under Milkwood’ together with featured artists from Enitharmon Editions (Paula Rego and Caroline Walker).

Contemporary Prints from Hunan was originally curated by Paul Croft, Lecturer in Printmaking at The School of Art, Aberystwyth. Comprising of diverse prints by 28 printmakers and members of The Hunan Printmaking Association, and including further prints by students from Changsha Central South University, Changsha Normal University and The Art School at Hunan University of Science and Technology. Discover a wide range of images, subject matter and techniques, the exhibition provides a fascinating snapshot of contemporary printmaking from this part of China.

This amazing show is a very rare treat for Gloucestershire. Not to be missed!
