An Evening of New Poetry

  • The Museum in the Park Stratford Park, Stratford Road Stroud, Gloucestershire, England, GL5 4AF United Kingdom (map)

Join us for an evening of readings with Tim BANNON, JLM MORTON, Nick NAYDLER & Polly HOWELL, Kathryn SOUTHWORTH, introduced by Philip RUSH

Across the Sea, the new book by Tim Bannon, is both a 'selected poems' and a memoir.

JLM Morton has a new book out from Broken Sleep Books but will also read some more recent work.

Polly Howell will read from Nick Naydler's recent pamphlet from Yew Tree Press. The Twelve Mountains includes a selection of poem accompanied by original drawings and artwork. Like Tim, Nick has reviewed poems written over many years.

Kathryn Southworth's new book, Slantwise History, presents a sequence of poems which evokes seven decades of history through the lens of a single lifespan and tells the story of the poet through significant (and insignificant) others, from classmates to the Queen and memories of Kennedy to the pages of a stamp album.

Doors open at 7.30pm, readings start at 8pm in the Garden Pavilion.

Free entry, all welcome, books available for sale.
