Work by Yasemin Wigglesworth

Papercuts by Yasemin Wigglesworth

Exhibited from Saturday 7 July - Sunday 5 August, 2018

Yasemin is a local papercut artist who creates unique pieces of work. From a small home-based studio in Stroud, she cuts her own original designs from paper using a scalpel. Each piece is unique and entire, cut from a single sheet of paper.  Nature and The Arts & Crafts Movement are her main sources of inspiration. This colourful collection demonstrates how a single piece of A4 sized paper can be transformed.

Works are for sale and proceeds will be donated by the artist to Duchenne UK. Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is the most common fatal genetic disease diagnosed in childhood. The disease almost always affects boys, and they tend to be diagnosed before the age of 5. There are around 2,500 patients in the UK and an estimated 300,000 sufferers worldwide.

Meet the Artist and find out more on Saturday 7 July between 2pm and 4pm.
