Work by Matthew Harris from his exhibition 'Material Matters'

Material Matters

Matthew Harris

Exhibited from 8 October – 3 November, 2013

Matthew Harris is an artist who is deeply committed to making and materials. He uses complex processes of dyeing, layering and stitching to make work that has been described as expressing a 'rhythmic cycle of making and un-making' and of having ‘a quiet sense of the invasive’. This exhibition brings together pieces in both cloth and paper that lyrically demonstrate the concerns that are central to his work.
