A photographic exhibition celebrating the beauty of the wildflower-rich limestone grasslands surrounding Stroud. Photo sequences also document the work of local organisations and community groups working to conserve these internationally important habitats.

Photographer Deborah Roberts will be available to meet visitors and answer questions between 2pm and 4pm on Sundays 2, 9, 16 and 30 July.

Celebrate National Meadows Day at the launch of Deborah Roberts’ grasslands photography exhibition with activities run by the Cotswolds Conservation Board’s Magnificent Meadows team, including bug hunts and quizzes to test your observational skills.

All welcome – come and find out why meadows matter!

Poetry Workshop with Adam Horovitz

Sunday 16 July | 2pm - 4pm | £15/£10 Museum Friends

Join acclaimed local poet Adam Horovitz for an afternoon of creative writing. We’ll be taking inspiration from the ‘Grasslands’ exhibition and the wonders offered by meadow landscapes.

Grasslands: An Evening of Poetry and Music with Adam Horovitz & Rebecca Dellow

Friday 21 July | 7:30pm | £5/£3.50 Concessions

Join Adam and Rebecca for an evening of poems and fiddle music inspired by meadows and grazing lands. Open mic slots too for anyone with a new poem to share.

Mobile Photography Workshop with Kel Portman

Sunday 23 July | 10am - 5pm | £20/£15 Museum Friends

Are you a keen photographer who wants to get the most out of your smartphone or tablet camera? If so, this course is for you and will help you unlock the amazing array of features your mobile device has to offer. Tutor Kel Portman will offer practical tips and help you develop your understanding of photography. The day will include a visit to the 'Grasslands of the Stroud Valleys' exhibition to explore the art of making photo essays. We’ll also be walking the grounds of Stratford Park and nearby meadows.
