Sunday Sanctuary Special

Sunday 02/07/2017
9am - 11:30am
COST: £30

Sunday Sanctuary Special

Join Emma Tilley for a Sunday Sanctuary Special in the Walled Garden.

Situated in the glass fronted Pavilion and surrounded by the beautiful flower borders (designed by Cleo Mussi) we'll practice a harmonising and heart-opening slow flow yoga practice. I'll keep the asana sequences simple and meditative but we will work up a sweat to energise and refresh you!

The slow flow practice will culminate in a long, guided relaxation and, weather permitting, we will take advantage of the outside space, either for the slow flow sequence, meditation and pranyama or our final relaxation.

The practice will finish at 11am when we can then tuck in to Star Anise's yummy pastries and healthy green smoothie. All in all a perfect start to a summer Sunday.

Organised by Emma Tilley

Sketching and Painting in the Garden with Alison Vickery

10am - 4pm
COST: £75

Sketching and Painting in the Garden with Alison Vickery

Pegasus Art is delighted to offer new workshops for adults in Stroud’s ‘Secret Garden,’ the enchanting, newly opened Walled Garden at the Museum. There are plenty of subjects to draw upon – vivid flowers and plants in the garden borders designed by artist Cleo Mussi, architectural details such as the historic 18th century wrought iron gate, and the majestic trees of the surrounding parkland. The new glass-fronted Learning Pavilion will be our base, and a useful workspace in the event of wet weather. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day and a delicious light lunch will be served at midday.

Enjoy a tutor-led day painting the vibrant flower borders, trees and parkland setting of the Museum in the Park. Local artist Alison Vickery will guide you with demonstrations and plenty of help and advice in working with watercolours and crayons. This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with more experience.

Museum in the Park Friends are entitled to a discount of 5%.

Jenny Wren Productions present: The Jungle Book

COST: £12/£8 Concessions/£35 Family Ticket

Jenny Wren Productions present: The Jungle Book

Theatre in the open air, come rain or shine!

Warning! Wild animals at large! Watch your back around the Cotswolds this summer as Jenny Wren Productions let wolves, tigers, bears, and even a python loose at an open-air venue near you. OK, so we’re monkeying around – this all-singing, all-dancing menagerie might steal your picnic but they won’t actually bite! You are, however, in danger of exposure to silly humour, slapstick and even some serious storytelling. Darker than Disney, closer to Kipling, this is The Jungle Book in all its gory glory – good hunting all!

Performances will take place in the Museum’s new Walled Garden. Teas, coffees, PIMMS and ice creams on sale in the Museum foyer cafe.

Limited places, please book early to secure your seats. To book call the Box Office at Stroud Tourist Information Centre on 01453 760900.
